Instagram’s co-founders to step down from company

The two co-founders of Instagram, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, are leaving Facebook. They resigned on Monday September 24th and plan to leave the firm in the coming weeks. According to the New York Times, the two did not give a specific reason for their departure, although they hinted that they would create something new.

Sources argue that the two boarded up because they had enough of the interference of Mark Zuckerberg. The founder and Facebook’s chief executive had promised not to interfere too much with Instagram, but this seems not to be the case. Zuckerberg would increasingly interfere with Instagram because in the longer term Facebook would become more and more dependent on Instagram.

Zuckerberg writes in a reaction to the media full of praise for the two entrepreneurs. "Kevin and Mike are exceptional leaders and Instagram reflects their combined talents, I have learned a lot by working with them over the last six years and have had a lot of fun in. I wish them the best and look forward to seeing what to make them afterward. "

Instagram was bought in 2012 by Facebook for 1 billion dollars. The network has a billion active users.
